What Is The Great Garden Challenge?
The Great Garden Challenge is your chance to transform your outside space into a great garden. It doesn’t matter if you hire a professional landscape designer or if you design and build your own garden – the point is to create a beautiful landscape.
So many people settle for a bland and uninteresting garden because that is what most people do. I’ve seen first-hand how much impact a well designed garden can make in people’s lives. I’ve also witnessed over and over again the knock-on effect it has in a neighbourhood when one person re-landscapes their garden; one by one, everyone else follows.
How Do You Create a Great Garden?
Well, the answer to that question is both simple and complex at the same time. Landscape design is not difficult but it is complex because there are several different layers to making a great garden. Most people assume it’s all to do with what plants you use. But it’s not. Plants are the final step in the process.
Knowing what things you need to do in order to create a great garden is essential. Each year we’ll be having a contest to see who has achieved the best results with their garden, with prizes for the best three. But even though the FREE Road Map is very thorough with exactly how you can create a great garden, it is nice to have a bit of extra help and guidance and that really is what The Great Garden Challenge is all about. A Supportive Community to Help You with Your Garden
The Great Garden Challenge is more than just a competition for the biggest garden improvements, it is also a supportive community. There is a forum where you can talk to other people who are on the same garden journey you are as well as landscape professionals. The forum discussion room is set up so you can share photographs of your garden, talk to other gardeners, get advice and ask questions as you go along.
